Our Team :
Jeremy Duffy, Nationally qualified instructor/judge, has been flying RC aircaft for the past 37 years, and is a senior instructor at the local Cape Town model club. His experience includes helicopters, aerobatics and gliding, and has won a number of provincial and national competions. He obtained his PPL (Private Pilots License) at age 17, qualifying on a range of aircraft, and has flown, amongst others, the Impala jet, and most single engined Piper and Cessna aircraft. He currently flys microlights.
He qualified in the SAAF as an aerial photographer, and saw active duty during the border conflict.
Nicholas Duffy, a qualified IT specialist, has been flying RC aircraft from a young age, runs the website, and assists in flying, camera work on site, as well as technical aspects of the business. He is currently on assignment in the UK.
About Helicam:
We have been involved in using RC aircraft to take aerial photographs for the past 11 years, gradually perfecting our equipment and techniques as cameras available evolved from bulky SLR film cameras to the modern compact, high resolution models available today.
Using advanced computer programs, we are able to enhance, and if need be remove distracting elements in the photographs.
We continually experiment with new ideas and equipment to improve our quality and service.
