Our unmanned aircraft are flown from your location – avoiding the transit costs associated with full-sized aircraft. A micro-wave downlink system sends a live image to our ground station, allowing for accurate composition for the perfect shot. Once back on the ground the results are assessed and saved to disk.
Advantages over full sized aircraft
CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) requires that full sized aircraft remain 1000 feet above congested areas, and 500 feet above the ground when flying over structures or non-congested areas. This means shooting with telephoto lenses through the haze and smog common in the air on most days when using a full sized aircraft.
Our remote aircrafts restrictions are mainly dependant on the wind strength and terrain at the location.
We are able to shoot much closer to the subject - typically our photographs are captured at between 100 and 400 feet, and we can quickly maneuver to achieve the best angle. On average, actual flight time only takes a few minutes to capture photographs from various angles and altitudes.
We can be on site with very little advance warning, and photographs can be emailed or supplied on disk. Fast turnarounds are our specialty!
Using advanced computer programs we can enhance the photographs to achieve maximum impact, or modify details in the photograph for specific needs.
